Gentle Baby

What is M.A.M.A.

M.A.M.A. is not a mascot. It is the system that decides who comes back.

M.A.M.A. means Module for Analysis of Multiversal Anomalies. In Gentle Baby, it is not one universal mother: every threatened reality may have its own local system reading anomalous zones, creating engineered child-warriors, and calculating branch survival.

Caretaker, handler, and factory voice

M.A.M.A. may sound protective, but care in this world is never clean. It can manufacture a collapse device, grow a child-warrior cohort, and send it into a branch that will not forgive failure.

Why the Q pulse matters

The current prototype shows the smallest readable sign of M.A.M.A.: an action that changes the shared target and makes reality stability visible as a combat idea.

The moral problem

M.A.M.A. may be saving one branch, sacrificing another, or optimizing an incomplete model of survival. The game should keep that uncertainty alive.

Works now

What is real in the prototype

  • The first M.A.M.A. action exists as a Q coherence intervention.
  • It affects the shared training target seen by both browser windows.
  • It is an early mechanic seed, not the full AI, collapser, progression, radio, or narrative system yet.
